The Canvas Art Collective - Now Part of Energize Tacoma

We are excited to announce that The Canvas Art Collective, a program initially launched at our studio, is now part of Energize Tacoma, our non-profit initiative focused on Culture, Art, and Science. 

​

Local Artists: Supporting Creativity and Community

​

As part of The Canvas Art Collective, we provide space within the studio for various local artists to showcase and sell their artwork. This initiative not only supports local talent but also strengthens our community. 

​

• Artist Earnings: Artists receive 90% of the proceeds from their sales, while 10% is contributed to Energize Tacoma to fund future programming and initiatives.

• Support Your Community: We encourage everyone to visit the studio, explore the diverse range of artwork on display, and support your local artists. Every purchase you make directly benefits the artists and helps fund community-driven projects through Energize Tacoma.

 

Energize Tacoma: Expanding Our Mission

​

Energize Tacoma began in 2021 with a focus on activating underutilized public spaces in Tacoma. Our first major project brought new life to Tollefson Plaza in Downtown Tacoma by hosting food trucks during lunchtime, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.

In 2023, we expanded our focus to include Art, Culture, and Science, developing a range of programs that engage the community both online and in-person.

Moving forward in 2024, Energize Tacoma is launching its own website and establishing a steering committee to guide our efforts. We are excited to share our plans and invite you to join us in our mission.
